Fire and Fizz
In Rexburg
I had so much fun going to Fire and Fizz with my wife for a date night. Fire and Fizz is new; it opened within the last couple of months. If you’re looking for somewhere to go pottery painting near you, go to Fire and Fizz! It is a little bit more on the expensive side compared to some of the other activities in Rexburg, but it is, as far as I know, priced well with other pottery places.
My wife has been to several other pottery places from where she is from, and she said the prices matched up pretty well. Also, at Fire and Fizz, you can get soda as well! It’s a great place for a date or even maybe a double date! I fully recommend!!

Pottery Painting Near You
My wife and I had a great time. When you first walk in, you pick one of the pottery pieces to paint. There are price tags on them all. There is some pretty cool stuff! I got a cool knight’s shield mug, and my wife got a gnome under a Christmas Tree.
Once you have paid for your chosen pottery to paint, you then paint, and you can paint for as long as you like. We even came back a second night to finish up!
They have great hours, they are open from 11 AM to 10 PM Monday through Friday!
There are so many options: there are normal colors, and then there are these cool colors that, when they are put in the kiln, actually cause a chemical reaction, and the color of the paint changes.
I did this on the majority of my mug with the color cast iron, so it would look all cast irony! But then they have brushes and color wheels and these plates you can spin.

Soda and Layering
You have to do three layers of paint, so it can take a bit of time! But you can get a soda while you wait. I especially loved the one with a rootbeer base. I can not remember what it was called! Once you have finished painting, you will then bring it up to the front and take a picture of the amazing masterpiece you have painted.
They will then take it from you, and they will put it in a kiln, which will bake the paint and the pottery to make it waterproof and hard. And cause some chemical reactions depending on the paint you used! You then wait 5 to 7 days for your pottery to be finished.
You can check its status here at the status checker! Once it is done, you come into the store, and they will get you all taken care of, but don’t forget to show them your picture of your masterpiece because that is how they will prove it is yours!
