Welcome to the ultimate Rexburg locals’ guide, made by a Rexburg local going to BYU-I who actually lives, studies, and explores here. Whether you’re a BYU-I student looking for a cheap weekend date or a local seeking a hidden trailhead, we dive deep into the hidden gems that make the Rexburg area so great!

Everyone knows you are not allowed to spend money on Sunday or go out to do big things because we are all from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or at least around 70% to 80% of Rexburg. After all, the whole town is built around BYU-I, a college owned by the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. But you are able to have Come follow me lessons as a ward, and then there is stadium singing, which is a ton of fun and a great place to meet people and show off your singing talents, singing hymns.
But all the Sunday rules end at midnight according to Rexburg, and all college life begins again for the week at 12:01 at either one of the two McDonald’s for long lines and loud conversations with your friends.
Now another rule of BYU-I students is that you always meet with your FHE group from your ward. I can’t count how many times I have heard couples say they met in FHE. So keep your eyes out ;). And FHE means family home evening. And that is usually a fun activity you do with your new “family”.
It is well known in Rexburg among the locals that Wednesday night is country dancing night. And this isn’t just one place, but it is at both the famous Roots and Boots and on BYU-I campus. And depending on the time of year, there are a couple of other places open on Wednesday as well.
Get her number in person, don’t be creepy, and don’t use LDS tools to get that girl’s number if you ever want a chance to marry her. Or at least go through someone she knows and can trust. But using LDS tools is just very creepy.
