Mud Volley Ball In Rexburg

Have you ever been to Mud Volleyball in Rexburg at BYU-I on their courts, in the upper fields next to the ropes course? I would 100% reccomend you and a bunch of freinds make a team and enter the tournament. And even if you don’t have a group of freinds alot of times there is a team open with a slot or two. And all you have to is join. It is a great way to make freinds besides your roomates and FHE brothers and sisters.

You can also just go and play with a group of freinds this spring or summer that is totally allowed and reccomended. My favorite times playing mudvolleyball was just when we decided what weekends we where going to go and play. No pressure from competition. Just playing for fun. Also one tip do not wear your garments, speaking from experience!

Mud Volleyball Tournament

Every single year BYU-I hosts a tournament for mud volleyball in Rexburg, Idaho. I have played on a team with a group of friends in 2023 it was so much fun. I had such a good time even thought we lost most of the time. This year the annual tournament will be on July 11-12th for the year of 2025. And as far as I know only BYU-I students are able to enter this tournament, but I could be wrong. For more details or if you would like to register a team you can visit this link!

How the tournament usally goes is you and at least 4 but a max of 8 freinds or just some people, register on the link above and create a team. Registering a team costs 50 dollars. And then teams are given time slots to play. And usually the first day is the playoffs and the second day is the championship game. And I belive the year I played it was double elimination. The tournament structure changes depeding on the number of teams and some other factors.

It is required to wear clothing or swimsuits that follow the honor code of BYU-I. A policy all students must promise to abide by to attend BYU-I. What most people do is just where a t-shirt and basketball shorts that can get dirty. And then after you have finished there is usually a hose in the top right corner of the mud courts if your facing the temple that you can use to clean all the mud off of you! And I do beleive the winning team of the tournament usually recieve t-shirts and the bragging rights.
